When it comes to fashion, Boston has a flavor and style all its own. From high end designers to hipster chic boutiques, Boston boasts a shopping selection to accommodate all tastes and customers of all ages. For the best in Boston shopping, consider stopping at Newbury Street and the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, two of Boston’s most prized shopping districts.

Perhaps the famous of all venues for shopping in Boston is Newbury Street. Newbury Street covers eight blocks and tourists gather from all over to shop the fashionable square. Newbury Street includes fashion and apparel for men, women, and children. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani and Burberry have created delightful little boutiques on Newbury Streets for the cliental with high end taste. Other stores like Johnny Cupcakes, Urban Outfitters, H&M, American Eagle Outfitters, and American Apparel suit customers with a lower budget who are not willing to compromise when it comes to style. Newbury Street is the perfect place to explore all veins of the fashion world. For the thrift store junkie, consignment shops like The Closet and Second Time Around provide an eclectic gathering of quality secondhand items. And when you’re exhausted from a good day of shopping, Newbury Streets has plenty of restaurants to choose from. Newbury Street favorites include Stephanie’s on Newbury, Snappy Sushi, and JP Licks Ice Cream Café.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace is yet another popular shopping destination in Boston. For over 250 years, Faneuil Hall has been an important hub of activity. Its cobblestone streets are quintessentially Boston, and each building stands for an important period in Boston’s history. With shops and boutiques as well as carts and kiosks, Faneuil Hall Marketplace is full of variety and character. Apparel stores include Orvis, Ann Taylor, and Destination Boston. Faneuil Hall also has many fine boutiques carrying purses and other accessories such as Nine West and Coach. Shopping at Faneuil Hall is different than visiting any mall, it is an experience all its own. Faneuil Hall is also full of restaurants with every type of food. Ethnic restaurants like Bombay Club and Bangkok Express give tourists genuine cultural variety, while standbys like the famous Cheers and Boston Pretzel provide classic American comfort food. More than a great place to shop, Faneuil Hall is a great place to experience Boston.
